McCloskeys Face Fall Trial On Gun Charges

Tweet Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the couple who became famous (or notorious, depending on your point of view) for displaying firearms outside of their St. Louis mansion as hundreds of rowdy demonstrators tromped through their private neighborhood on their way to protest outside the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson last summer, now have a date with the court system. Circuit Judge David Mason has tentatively scheduled an early November trial for the pair, who face charges of unlawful use of a weapon and tampering with evidence. Mason denied a request by the McCloskey’s attorney to send the case back to a grand jury because of the political bias demonstrated by St. Louis City Attorney Kim Gardner, who was removed from prosecuting the case after she used the arrests in fundraising emails during her re-election campaign.

Lawyer Mark McCloskey Considers U S Senate Run

John Michael Brinkmann, and Nicholas Crane Strauss is listed in the data as running under an unknown party affiliation. McCloskey, Greitens, and Schmitt spoke last weekend at a Jackson County, Missouri (Kansas City area) Republican dinner, Politico noted. McCloskey and his wife, Patricia McCloskey, also spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention in a recorded segment. In it, they discussed their rationale for pulling guns on protesters at their mansion in a gated community. “Good evening, America. We are Mark and Patty McCloskey,” Mark McCloskey said in an awkwardly scripted message. “We’re speaking to you tonight from St. Louis, Missouri, where just weeks ago you may have seen us defending our home as a mob of protesters descended on our neighborhood.”

St Louis lawyer who pointed gun at Black Lives Matter protesters considering Senate run

© Hill.TV Mark McCloskey, who rose to national prominence after he was seen pointing an assault rifle at Black Lives Matter protesters in St. Louis last year, is looking at a possible Senate run in Missouri. McCloskey, a wealthy personal-injury lawyer, said in an interview with Politico that a Senate run is a “consideration.”  McCloskey and his wife, Patricia, garnered attention in 2020 after they were seen waving guns at protesters outside their St. Louis mansion. While the two were indicted on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and evidence tampering, Republicans have raised them up as an example of what they say is a use of firearms in self-defense.
