Millions of dollars are pouring into Missouri to reduce traffic injuries and fatalities, but unsafe streets continue to be a growing threat in the St. Louis area.
While St. Louis politicians continue to consider changing laws to make the streets are safer, the City of St. Louis is also looking to change how these are designed to naturally slow down drivers and give pedestrians more space to move about
Officials said construction of the improvements, which could include new medians, traffic circles and bumped-out curbs, will largely occur in 2025 and 2026.
