Nevada state police arrested a Washington state man and seized 56 pounds (25.4 kilograms) of suspected fentanyl with an estimated street value of $3.6 million from a vehicle a trooper stopped near the Utah line.
Ken Furlong and eight other Nevada sheriffs have signed on to a letter, along with a total of 274 sheriffs across the U.S., blaming President Joe Biden for criminals, drug dealers and gang members coming illegally into the U.S.
Furlong confirmed his signature on the letter Friday saying the National Sheriff’s Association put the letter together.
Also listed as signing the letter are Churchill County Sheriff Richard Hickox, Douglas County Sheriff Dan Coverley, Elko County Sheriff Aitor Narvaiza, Lander County Sheriff Ron Unger, Lyon County Sheriff Frank Hunewill, Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehry and White Pine County Sheriff Scott Henriod.
