A panel of three distinguished judges has been named for the 2021 Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge, which is currently accepting entries. Judges for this year’s competition will include Marc Adams, Michele Weitzel, and William Sampson.
Marc Adams
Marc Adams founded the Marc Adams School of Woodworking and has been woodworking professionally for more than 40 years. In 1991, he became a technical consultant to the WWPA, SFPA, AHEC, and the U.S. government, representing the United States on International Quality of Furniture Making. His work has appeared in many books and national magazines, including on the cover of Fine Woodworking. His Technical Techniques video series was awarded four Telly awards. He was previously a judge for the 2008 and 2016 Veneer Tech Craftsman Challenge Awards. In 1998, he was chosen as one of Indiana’s Top 40 Under 40 in the

But not only does the maker win, the Grand Prize awards also include $2,000 for the supplier of veneer for the winning piece and $1,000 to the salesman who sold the veneer.
