Child and Family Services of Northwest Michigan will be seeing some of those funds. They will be getting over $470,000, and say this money will be used to help students come through their programs. “This is going to help us put 130 AmeriCorps members through our program next year which is really exciting,” said Amanda Scott, Director for YouthWorks AmeriCorps. “It should be our biggest season yet. They will be out in the community doing conservation and skilled trades projects.” Child and Family Services of Northwest Michigan says they won’t start seeing this money until September.
