CLEVELAND (AP) A man convicted in the shooting death of an undercover police detective and his confidential informant 2 1/2 years ago in Ohio has been sentenced to 50 years to life.
David McDaniel, a man who was involved in the murder of a police detective and informant, was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison. McDaniel apologized multiple times in court.
David McDaniel, who was 18 years old at the time he shot James Skernivitz and Scott Dingess during a botched robbery attempt, will receive a life sentence after he pleaded guilty last month to aggravated murder and other charges in the September 2020 slayings.
