Janet Graves, left, and Anne Martin, right, work on a city history project in 2017 while serving on the Bloomfield City Council together. Graves died unexpectedly on Saturday and had served with the council for almost six years. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family,” Bloomfield Mayor Chris Dudgeon said in a statement. “Janet’s service to her community will be greatly missed and hard to replace. She has always voiced her opinions for our community and has been a part of so many decisions that have made Bloomfield such a great community to live in. It was my pleasure to work alongside of her and to know her.”

On Monday, November 10th, Bloomfield City Police Chief Scott Dennis was taken to Flash Memorial Hospital in Bardstown, where he was diagnosed with Covert 19. Only nine days later, he was put on a ventilator. He wanted everyone to know he was gonna fight this virus, which he did with the same bravery he showed throughout his life and throughout his career. LOUISVILLE, Ky. The community said a final farewell to a Bloomfield, Kentucky police chief who passed away last week.
Chief Scott Dennis died of complications of COVID-19 which he contracted in the line of duty, according to Supporting Heroes.
Dennis served in law enforcement for 32 years. He started at the State Department of Corrections before moving to Kentucky State Police and then the Bloomfield Police Department in Nelson County.
