University of Minnesota Extension shared results from the “Welcoming Communities” assessment in November and December. The assessment aims to find out how to make New York Mills more welcoming.
The New York Mills-based project’s purpose is “to provide a platform for equity and inclusion learning through hands-on activities with stakeholders, subject matter experts and community members."
Seven sectors were judged on six dimensions of inclusion: Leadership energy, awareness, engagement, resources, sharing power, and policies and practices.
