After officers found Baily, they discovered Crowell inside an apartment bedroom.
Luz Ortiz, who lives nextdoor, told NBC10 Boston that the mother and son had recently reunited after Crowell picked Baily up from a psychiatric hospital in Chicago. The mother was happy. She went to housing. She was going to get a two bedroom apartment with him, Ortiz said. She was all so happy. And he just.snapped.
Ortiz says Bailey made another threat. While he was out here, he kept saying, I killed my mom, now I m going to kill you! Ortiz said. My husband heard that so he hid behind the van and he called the police.
