Entrepreneurial ventures win more than $100K in funding at ASU Demo Day

A venture to help people with ADHD created by a team of biomedical engineering students at ASU continued to impress the entrepreneurs who judge the Demo Day pitch competition. The venture, Captavate, won $20,000 at the fall 2023 Demo Day event on Saturday, after winning $40,000 at the spring Demo Day in April.

ASU students invention helping families in Mongolia breathe easier

Thanks to a team of nine ASU students, families in Mongolia who rely on coal to heat their yurts can now breathe easier. The team invented a solar-powered air-filtration system that helps reduce smoke in the home. So far, 13 of the systems have been sent to the country to be dispersed by local partners.
