FAIRFAX, VA – As much of the nation waits patiently for the arrival of spring, the pest control industry is readying itself for termite season. To help prepare consumers as well, the Professional Pest Management Alliance (PPMA), which serves as the public outreach arm of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), is working to educate homeowners during Termite Awareness Week, March 7-13, 2021. This annual designation is recognized by Chase’s Calendar of Events and serves as a crucial reminder to homeowners about the property risks and costly damage associated with termites.

Longfellow became a shareholder and managing partner in NaturZone Pest Control. He will be responsible for leading NaturZone’s day-to-day operations and working with President Doug Longfellow on strategic vision and implementation for the company. Andrew holds a B.A. degree from The University of South Florida and an MBA from The University of Tampa. He has been with NaturZone since graduating UT in 2014 and the general manager since September 2018.
ARLINGTON, Va. RISE (Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment) announced the addition of Kristen Spotz as its senior director of regulatory affairs. She joins the association with an extensive regulatory and technical background, along with manufacturing experience of various Food and Drug Administration (FDA) products, where she specialized in quality control and quality engineering.
In her new position, Spotz will be responsible for RISE’s regulatory work, which includes providing strategic oversight for the development, implementation and management of effective policy strategies and tactics, and serving as the staff lead for the association’s Regulatory Affairs Committee.
