Floyd College of Medicine is hosting its first Match Day ceremony for the inaugural class of medical students that will graduate this spring at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 19. Match Day is a major milestone for 4 th year medical students in which the National Resident Matching Program notifies graduating medical students across the country about which residency program they have been “matched” to. For several months, students have been applying and interviewing for these coveted spots in their medical specialties of choice. At exactly 9 a.m. PST on the third Friday in March, every medical student across the nation learns where they will spend the next 3–7 years of their medical training.
