KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 2, 2022) – A team of student pharmacists from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy was named the winner of the 19th annual Good Neighbor Pharmacy NCPA Pruitt-Schutte Student Business Plan Competition. A team from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy was the runner-up, and a team representing the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy finished as the second runner-up. The winners were announced as part of the National Community Pharmacists Association’s 2022 Annual Convention, which was held Oct.
Alex White, 32, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Hospital in Little Rock. She was a native of Monticello and a lifelong resident of
Robert Acord was recently promoted by Harps Food Stores Inc. from director of pharmacy to vice president of pharmacy. After completing undergraduate classes at Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, Acord attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy in Little Rock, where he graduated in 1987. He joined Harps Food Stores as the director of pharmacy in 2008.
The Arkansas Pharmacists Association has hired Marlene Battle as health equity coordinator, a new role created to address health disparities in Arkansas that have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
