Days after the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) issued revised guideline stating that students no longer need to opt subjects such as physics, chemistry and mathematics in class 12 to pursue a few streams of engineering, the council has issued a clarification stating that the above mentioned subjects will continue to be important courses in most engineering courses.
