The University Libraries invites faculty and instructors to attend the Open Education Resources Online Symposium. The symposium will feature opening remarks by Dr. Jennifer Bott, WMU provost and vice president of academic affairs, keynote speaker Karen Lauritsen, Open Education Network publishing director, and a panel of WMU faculty and instructors who have adopted Open Education Resources (OER) in their courses. Learn about using, adapting and publishing OER from the experts and making the switch from your WMU colleagues.

WOOSTER - In its eighth season, Wooster Science Café will resume on Zoom on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m.
Sponsored by The College of Wooster and The Ohio State University, the monthly series brings together people who are interested in science to talk about and experience science.
“We feel that now more than ever the importance of effective science communication and respectful dialogue is essential. We also hope that these events bring some joy and normalcy to our community,” said Laura Sirot, one of the co-founders and co-coordinators of the Science Café and associate professor of biology at Wooster.

POTSDAM Clarkson University’s 25th Shipley Distinguished Lectureship “Skin-Inspired Organic Electronics” with Dr. Zhenan Bao will be held Friday, Jan. 22 at 2 p.m.
Prof. Zhenan Bao is a world-renowned expert in the field of flexible electronics, a press release from Clarkson said. She is the K.K. Lee Professor of Chemical Engineering, and by courtesy, a Professor of Chemistry and a Professor of Material Science and Engineering at Stanford University.
Bao founded the Stanford Wearable Electronics Initiate (eWEAR) in 2016 and serves as the faculty director. Bao is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and the National Academy of Inventors. She is a Fellow of MRS, ACS, AAAS, SPIE, ACS PMSE and ACS POLY. She has over 550 refereed publications and over 65 US patents with a Google Scholar H-Index >160.
