XYS Activates the PI3K/Akt Pathway
Network pharmacology suggested that the PI3k/Akt pathway was the main mechanism of action in IS treatment by XYS. Therefore, we evaluated the effect of XYS on the mRNA and protein expression of PI3k and Akt in PC12 cells. OGD/R inhibited mRNA expression of PI3K and Akt significantly in PC12 cells (Figures 9 and 10). Compared with the normal group, although protein expression of PI3K and Akt did not change significantly, phosphorylation of PI3K and Akt was inhibited significantly. Fortunately, XYS therapy could reverse this inhibition. These results indicated that the PI3k/Akt pathway was involved in the anti-IS action of XYS.
