ENFIELD, CT Students in all Enfield schools will have the season s first traditional snow day Thursday, as a storm projected by the National Weather Service to dump a foot of snow on the town has prompted school officials to cancel the original plan of a remote learning day.
Superintendent of Schools Chris Drezek issued an announcement that remote classes would not be held, citing the possibility of power outages and the need for a temporary break. Enfield students have been in remote learning mode since Monday, a schedule which is slated to continue through Jan. 8.
