President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. on Monday reminded teachers and students to continue observing minimum health standards amid the opening of classes for School Year 2022-2023 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite reports from several schools about classroom shortage, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte on Monday said this should not be a reason to keep the students from going back to in-person classes for School Year 2022-2023.
A shortage in classrooms and lack of teachers were among the challenges faced by several schools as classes for School Year 2022-2023 opened on Monday.
"Consequently, as part of the transition to in-person classes, blended learning shall still be implemented and we are continuing to study the implementation of blended learning as a permanent mode of instruction for basic education," Duterte said.
The start of School Year 2022–2023 on August 22 is final, Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte said Thursday, amid calls for its postponement.
