I start with this question of what kind of violence is inside us, because for me it was the first real thorny question that i came upon when i began what has become the new mission of my political career. Maybe well have a chance to talk about this a little built but while the book is mostly a history of american violence and a conversation about how we overcome that history, it also involves my own political story.
