Former Petersburg Schools Superintendent Dr. Tamara Sterling charged taxpayers more than $22,000 while traveling to conferences during her 15 months on the job, according to records obtained by CBS 6.
“It's a very humbling experience,” Superintendent Greg Rabenhorst said. “This award is about my district more than I view it about me. The fact that we have accomplished so much and can be recognized for it means a lot to me.”
Retaining teachers was top of mind for U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and thousands of school leaders at a national conference Thursday in Nashville.
