Meg Duffy has announced a new project called Sugar The Bruise featuring songs that were inspired by a songwriting class that Duffy taught in summer 2021, a few months before releasing the most recent Hand Habits album Fun House. Duffy worked on the album with producers Luke Temple and Philip Weinrobe. “For Sugar The Bruise, I had no plan other than to let my mind go blank, and lean into the playful side of things,” Duffy said. “To laugh a little, to lighten up, to shift the focus off of my own experience a bit.” Check out lead single “Something Wrong” below.
