October seeing a huge surge in hiring and wall street is reacting at this hour, the dow opening though lower. Al jazeeras patricia sobga has the numbers. This was a surprise. It was a big surprise, and it was a big, big headline number. 271,000 jobed ad, thats nearly 100,000 more jobs than wall street was expecting. The Unemployment Rate down to 5 , down for the right reason, because the Labor Force Participation rate measuring the number of people in work are actively looking for a job held steady. That rate went down for the right reasons. We had very strong job creation and in white collar jobs, really strong job creation in construction.
