因為疫情進入三級警戒，全國學生從5月19日起停止到校上課、改為居家線上學習，直到7月2日學期結束。7月3日起進入暑假，但三級警戒至少持續到7月12日，高中暑期輔導要怎麼進行，讓學校頭痛。
台灣青年民主協會最近公布調查指出，在三級警戒期間，多數學校的暑輔輔導以線上授課方式進行，如果降到2級警戒則改回實體授課。但也有部分學校確定全採線上授課，教材直接郵寄到家，或是提供電子版教材。
教育部表示，教育部所主管的高中，若規畫採線上教學方式辦理暑假課業輔導，仍應依「高級中等學校課業輔導實施要點」規定，事前通知學生家長及徵詢學生意願，以每周不得超過5日，暑假期間不超過120節原則辦理，並於400元至550元額度內核實支給教師鐘點費。地方政府主管學校，依各該主管機關規定。
