Banerjee claimed that while he was being questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), BJP leaders were "busy having feast with hope of him getting arrested".
The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to hear on May 26 a plea by senior TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee against his questioning by the CBI in the school jobs scam case.
Banerjee, who was on May 20 questioned for over nine hours by the CBI, has sought the apex court direction that no coercive steps be taken against him by the agency.
The comments from the West Bengal Chief Minister came an hour after her nephew and Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee appeared for questioning before the CBI in connection with the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) recruitment scam.
