The Government is investing $100 million for Short Term Roll Growth classrooms at schools across New Zealand.
Speaking at Ruakākā School in Whangārei this morning, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Associate Education Minister Kelvin Davis said the pūtea will enable students and teachers to focus on education rather than overcrowding.
Ms Ardern says the investment will also help Covid economic recovery.
Ruakākā School will get two extra classrooms, as will Te Rangi Āniwaniwa in Awanui and Whangārei Intermediate, while Ōruaiti School near Mangonui gets one classroom.
