We have established the common indicators and outcomes and now we are working with our Partner Agencies to ultimately ensure that we are all working in achieving what we said we were going to achieve. We partnered with stanford who has been working already with the School District for several years and several other agencies to create a research and evaluation design. We are entering the muddy waters and scary waters of data sharing agreement and working on consent issues and we are just required by doe to get an irb clearance, individual rights review board. The schools were selected when we submitted the grant in 2011. They were some of the ones that were recipients of the School Improvement grants and i dont know the full story behind these schools but i think the School Improvement grant and some of the most in need. So thats so there is seven in the district but we only picked four and as far as the Community Hubs and maybe kevin and or car lean can address. I appreciate the way the schools were picked. I im more interested in how the schools were picked and how that plays out in the community. I guess well have to stay and figure out. We are just starting implementation on july 1st. Im not quite sure how to answer that yet because i think we are still building what that could look like, but over the next 5 years, we really want to address all the schools in the mission and start working with all the schools in the mission but well need Additional Resources to expand for the 5 years. What we call learning network. I will mention two of these components. One is the instruction around and we have been trained in this school. They go to visit each others school. In the school site, the site that is hosting, theyll ask this is what we want you to look at and we dont look at teachers practices alone, but we look at how are the students engaged in which one are interacted and how are the students responding and how do the students articulate what theyre learning. Our Leadership Team network once a month bring their problems of practices to a general meeting. They learn from each other. They present their problem. They coach each other and then they take the results of the planning that they are doing back to the school and the following month they report on that. Thank you assistant superintendent. Aguilara. I wondered if you can forward that. Secondly, what about parking lot fundraisers when schools use their school yards as parking lots, is that also included in this somehow . Yes, so to your first question, we do have a resolution that was passed by 25 percent of the net that goes back to the schools and unfortunately we havent finished calculating the revenue because right now we dont have a system to help us keep track of all the permits and all the revenues thats why we need this new system. I have this spread sheet. I have to go through all 15,000 permits each school year. To go through them and see which one qualifies for the 25 percent. And then each permit i have to manually calculate the cost to get the net revenue and take 25 percent and then apply it to each school. So its taking up a lot of my tim
Go into anyone of these sites you can enter into pipeline. Thats another way that we are looking at it. We are looking at what it means to be in a Community Hub and what are the logos and all that stuff so we can create that Community Within these organizations. I briefly touched on this family success coach that we talked about in harlem. These are meta staff that will be at these Community Hubs and really Service Ambassadors for the Mission Promise neighborhood. They are the connectors and work with families to further assess needs and goals with the Financial Capability lens and talking with our Partner Organizations and especially at the school site. We looked at, there are a lot of Services Available at the schools but the financial education, the financial coaching is something that they lack and so we feel this is a huge value to add to bring on site and their approach is around Building Trust around coaching and empowering families to meet their goals.
