Two months after rejecting a first batch of candidates, oakland mayor shengtao is set to consider another group for the citys next police chief, the Oakland Police commission, releasing their names ahead of a planned Public Forum Thursday night under consideration are four candidates. A mans body was found following a fire near i 9. 80, in oakland. That fire was reported shortly before one 30 this morning. Chp says the Oakland Fire Department saw a man starting the fire in the westbound lane of the 17th street offramp. Firefighters later found a burn victim with head trauma at the offramp. That offramp is now reopened. All lanes are open as well. Meanwhile, in San Francisco, fire crews have contained a massive fire in the citys hayes valley neighborhood. 8 people have been displaced.
