Commitment to addressing this issue as well. Even though weve reached this incredible milestone here in our city, we know that there are still disparities that exist, specifically by race and ethnicity, by age, by gender, and, sadly, by housing status. These disparities highlight the work we have to do to continue to get to zero and really trying to remove the barriers, the stigma, the discrimination, so that we can truly end new infections, which is our ultimate goal. In fact, in 2018, africanamerican men had the highest diagnosis rate. Africanamerican women also had the highest diagnosis rate. Fighting this should be our focus and we are taking steps to do so. This week the department of Public Health will launch a competitive bid process where we will allocate 8 million in additional funding to Community Organizations primarily serving the africanamerican, latino, transgender and substanceuser communities in order to strengthen the work that we are already doing. Last week we launched the Mental Health Reform Initiative to help those at the intersection of homeless, Mental Illness, and Substance Abuse disorder in San Francisco. And through our detailed analyst, dr. Nagusablan and the department of Public Health have identified the people in our city who are most vulnerable and in need of help. Now, to be clear, we see it. But now we have clear and accurate data. Of those 4,000 individuals, 41 frequently use urgent and emergency psychiatric services. 95 of those folks suffer from alcohol use disorder. 35 are africanamericans, despi

At that time, there was success to celebrate. Wifi in every middle school, computers and ipads available to every school, the established of the principals innovation fund. We may not have appreciated how much more celebrating there was to come. To date, weve now seen over 40 million invested in the students of San Francisco unified School Districts.
