Silva who went to high school in cambridge with convicted marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev testified at his trial back in march. Silva struck a deal with prosecutors in exchange for a lighter sentence. Prosecutors recommended silva serve 18 months behind bars. Silva was arrested months after the bombing and leaded guilty to giving dzhokhar the pistol used to shoot and kill officer collier.
