cornered after stabbing 18 students in a t-shirt. this series of school attacks are blamed on suspects with personal grievances or mental illness. chinese society has generated enormous pressure on individuals. some of those individuals had emotional and psychological problems. they want to cause general attention from the population and attacking kids is the best way in their perspective to achieve this objective. reporter: this man got a lot of attention. one early morning in march, he attacked elementary school students killing eight and is wounding several others. the man was sentenced to death and executed this week. still, his execution failed to deter similar attacks.

top taliban chief who was thought to be dead actually survived a u.s. drone attack. these reports coming after pakistan s interior minister claimed that hakimullah mehsud died from a missile attack in january. the u.s. never confirmed his death and a senior pakistani intelligence official said mehsud survived that strike and is alive and mel. the officials say mehsud has, quote, lost some of his clout with the taliban. bill: an awful story, a knife-wielding man attacking a kindergarten class of children, police say the suspect slashed 28 children, a security guard and two teachers. many of the victims, only four years old. some of the images we re taking in now from the incident, five listed in critical condition, the stabbings being called a copycat rampage of two other school attacks. no word on the motive.
