Police say 47 year old Barney Fraaken shot his wife, amy, and their 16year old daughter, amber. Before turning the gun on himself. His attempt to commit suicide failed. They believe the double murder was part of some sort of domestic dispute. Fraaken has been in the hospital recovering ever since then, but yesterday, he was released from the hospital and immediately charged. He now faces two counts of 1st degree murder. Us secretary of health and Human Services Sylvia Burwell will visit a Flint Health Center that is providing lead testing and Health Care Services to those who have been affected by leadcontaminated water. Flints mayor has recently called for quick action to remove and but, Governor Rick Snyder announced a plan yesterday to coat the citys pipes with a protective film and conduct an infrastructure study first. Despite having water tainted with lead, a new report shows people in flint were paying the highest water rates in the nation. Its estimated at just over seven billion dollars. The plan includes an additional 143 Million Dollars for k through 12 schools. Thats a two percent increase in school funding. The budget also fully funds property tax credits.
