Yesterday we saw rain pretty much throughout the day and night. We are seeing the rain move on out of our area morning. You might run into some mist or pog. And storm surge, 127 Miles Per Hour wind gusts by sunday morning. So the latest track has shifted a little farther to the west. That means irma will likely be hitting southern florida by saturday afternoon and sunday afternoon as a category four hurricane, the latest track bring its up the center of the peninsula. That means the entire peninsula of florida will get hit by Hurricane Force winds and not making a second landfall but decreasing to a category one as it pushes north of jacksonville. The take away from irmas Impact Likely the worst damage since hurricane andrew in 1992, could be worse than that. Storm surge making places uninhabitable for months. Night. The videos show the powerful winds and driving rain hitting resort properties along the western side of the island. The high storm surge expected to cause major flooding. New photos out of barbuda. It blasted the island nation killing at least three people there. You can see shattered debris and buildings trashed. France and the netherlands split control. They said the storm killed four people on their side of the island and one reported on the dutch side. The governor says federal help is on the way for residents there. Irma damaged many of the boats. One sailboat worker said he had a boat anchored in the harbor which is now nowhere to be found. He says he and fellow residents were fortunate. We lit candles, played games. They pounded with top wins of 150 Miles Per Hour for more than four hours. Fire and police stations collapse in the main hospital and sustained pretty heavy damage.
