Franklin schools changes hybrid schedule
Students at Franklin schools will be in the classroom different days next semester.
Franklin schools approved a change to the hybrid schedules of both middle and high school students during its board meeting Monday.
The change will alter which days students go to school, and will have students at school buildings on alternating Wednesdays, a change from the all-virtual format on Wednesdays this fall.
The changes will take effect Jan. 4, when students return from winter break. Students will return to school in person four or five days per week if Johnson County moves to yellow, according to the state’s color-coded metrics, which would require a decrease in the county’s positivity rate and number of weekly cases per 100,000 residents, said David Clendening, superintendent.
