Schaumburg Regional Airport on Tuesday will complete a monthlong transition to end its business relationship with the only fixed base operator to provide aviation services there since the village of Schaumburg acquired the facility in 1994.
Having recently won renewal as a bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community, Schaumburg is preparing a four-year plan intended to bring about further improvements.
Schaumburg officials are taking a pass on building a roundabout at the three-way intersection of Springinsguth and Bode roads during its upcoming improvement, but they are recommending such a conversion be part of its next upgrade in 10 to 15 years.
