Freda Schafer Fine, 92, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2021, at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville PA, succumbing to the effects of a stroke.
Born in Millville MA, Freda was the youngest child of the late Robert and Lena (Kondy) Schafer and was raised on the Schafer Dairy Farm in Bellingham MA. She attended Dean Junior College prior to marrying Ernest H. Fink, with whom she shared 3 children.
Freda was the heart of the home for her family. The children were all born in Framingham MA where the family lived for 20 years. During this time, she became a life member of Hadassah and supported her children’s interests by serving as a Cub and Girl Scout Leader, amongst other positions and roles that allowed her children to flourish. The family relocated to York PA, in 1973, and then to the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton area in 1977. After moving to a condominium, Freda served for several years as Association President.
