The nonprofit Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation has announced a new contest as it searches for an original song that best reflects the writer’s sentiments about the landmark amendment to the state constitution.

CAMP HILL, PENNSYLVANIA, UNITED STATES, January 26, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ The Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation’s annual photo contest is kicking off for 2021, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Environmental Rights Amendment. Photographers are encouraged to look to the amendment for inspiration and to interpret the amendment through the lens. Added to the Pennsylvania Constitution in 1971 Section 27, Article One of the Pennsylvania Constitution states:
The people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment. Pennsylvania’s public natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come. As trustee of these resources, the Commonwealth shall conserve and maintain them for the benefit of all the people.
