we ve covered a lot of news, but i want to get into something else. americans are burnt out. anxious. and many depressed. we have a pandemic death toll total over 700,000. the other toll is harder to measure but it is real and relates to our daily life and work even if you feel like some of the worst already and we know people are getting crushed. everything will be fine and on say like a friday, i would feel like i couldn t even deal. couldn t get up that day. every single patient i see is complaining of this. people are exhausted from the mere act of being human. whether it s from paid work or from parenting, care giving. you know, managing chronic illness. i think many people are experiencing bun out and it s not simply a psychologically problem. fake a smile. were you depressed?

progressive caucus, and let me tell you this is not a progressive caucus bill. this is not a blue dog or a new dem bill. that is bill which the biden administration campaigned on. we have got to deliver on the promises that the president made. number one, the child tax credit. i mean, can you imagine how many children would be lifted out of poverty if in fact we make it permanent. we already passed in one of our prior bills at least part of what we need to do to make sure that we finally eliminate poverty for children. women in the workforce need to get back to work, want to get back towork, but guess what, can t afford child care. in this build back bet there s a provision for care giving, and so many of our seniors near care giving and this bills provides for their livelihoods so we need to get bill together.
