ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) - Vaccination numbers in South Carolina are expected to surge in the coming weeks.
On Monday, the state officially moved into Phase 1b of the vaccine rollout. If you are 55 or older, have pre-existing conditions, or work as a frontline worker - like a teacher, restaurant or grocery store worker - you can now start booking your appointments.
Health leaders provided an update at 2 p.m. Friday.

ROCK HILL, S.C. (WBTV) -South Carolina vaccinations are expected to ramp up starting next week.
Governor Henry McMaster announced the state would advance into Phase 1B. It is a huge group of about 2.7 million people.
It includes anyone 55 and older. People 16 to 64 with high-risk medical conditions will also be in line. It also extends to frontline essential workers like law enforcement, teachers, school staff and grocery store workers.
