Southend: Consultation launched into use of barbecues in public spaces

Southenders are being urged to have their say and share their thoughts about the use of barbecues in public spaces across the town. Southend Council have now launched a consultation into the matter, which aims to gather views about the use of barbecues in the borough’s public areas. It s hoped survey results will help the council consider how best to manage its open spaces and foreshore in the town. Carole Mulroney, cabinet member for environment, culture, tourism and planning said: “We want to hear the views of residents, visitors and local businesses about the use of barbecues in our public areas to help us consider how best to manage our beaches and outdoor spaces for the residents and visitors who use them.
