Coronavirus Update: N H Reports 3 New COVID Deaths; Dartmouth To Require Student Vaccinations

County Jails Hitting Pause On Vaccination Efforts Update: Thursday, April 15, 6:30 p.m. Some county jails in New Hampshire are encountering challenges to vaccinating their general population. Four county jails postponed their rollout this week after the state paused use of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. That vaccine is preferred because it requires only one shot, as opposed to two with other vaccines. Of those offering vaccines this week, the Cheshire County Jail, in Keene, says one fifth of its population signed up for vaccines. At the Merrimack County Jail, in Boscawen, that percentage is closer to a third. Most county jails have already vaccinated the majority of their staffs.
