Rishi sunak spoke to the cabinet this morning, and is to make a speech in Downing Street later this afternoon. The Carmaker Ford Has said the proposal would undermine the governments ambition, commitment and consistency. one option seen by bbc news is for the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars to be moved to 2035 in line with the eus timetable. Another measure being considered is weakening a commitment to phase out all gas boilers within 12 years. Heres our Political Correspondent helen catt.
