Save Jealott s Hill group gives verdict on 2,000 Warfield homes plan

‘THERE is still no justification for interfering with the green belt’ that’s the response from countryside campaigners following major changes to plans to develop Jealott’s Hill in Warfield. It is proposed around 2,000 homes and other facilities will be built on land totalling 240 hectares down from the 4,000 outlined in 2019. Should the proposal go ahead as part of Bracknell Forest Council’s local plan, the homes would be built at the site of multi-national chemicals company Syngenta alongside a new science park, a primary school, country parks, traveller pitches and more community facilities. As part of the revised plans, the amount of green belt land (land typically protected from development) at the site set to be taken out of the green belt will be reduced from 170 hectares to 116.

Jealott s Hill campaigners prepare for 4,000 homes legal bid

CAMPAIGNERS are preparing for a big legal battle over controversial plans to build 4,000 homes in the countryside. The Save Jealott’s Hill group has launched a fundraiser to help them take on proposals to add new homes and a new science park at 240 hectares of green belt land at Jealott’s Hill in Warfield. Proposed in co-operation with the multi-national chemicals company Synenta, the council is aiming to build the homes alongside schools and health centres by 2049. But Save Jealott’s Hill chiefs are now raising funds in order to secure professional planning and legal representing to challenge the authority when it publishes revised proposals as part of its draft local plan in the coming weeks.

Jealott s Hill: Trump China ban will not be alter 4,000 homes decision

Jealott s Hill in Warfield could soon be home to 4,000 homes if plans are pushed forward US government orders against the Chinese companies which own Warfield-based chemicals-firm Syngenta will not be considered by the council against plans for 4,000 homes in the north of Bracknell Forest. The authority said its responsibilities do not extend to comments made by the American government after the Trump administration banned United States investments in firms which Washington said were owned or controlled by the Chinese military. What’s the connection between the US government, China and Bracknell Forest? Upon making the order last year, President Donald Trump said China was ‘directly threatening’the United States through ‘the development and modernization of its military, intelligence, and other security apparatuses’.
