Saturday, April 24, 2021 4:00 AM A recent Rasmussen poll shows that a majority of Americans across party lines are focused on the need to strengthen voter credentials. A massive 89 percent of Republicans said that we need to require voters to show photo IDs in order to ensure “a fair and secure election process. Sixty-five percent of Democrats agreed and so did 71 percent of independents.
Meanwhile, in the months leading up to the November elections last year, just 19 percent of Americans said they were “very” confident in the process, according to the pollsters at Gallup. Another 40 percent of survey respondents would say only that they were somewhat confident.

Almost a year after its initial passage, the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives has once again passed HR 1, the For the People Act. However, there’s one major difference this year this misleadingly named bill is no longer dead on arrival in a Republican Senate or White House.
