With the Jan. 5 runoff election and the holidays just around the corner, Sunday was a busy day in Forsyth County, as two bus tours with nationally-known elected officials rolled through town to campaign for Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, who will face Democratic challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock in the runoff.

Toucan’s Ale House in Brunswick, Ga. played host to a list of who’s who in the Republican Party Wednesday in a continuing effort to inspire voters to go to the polls in the upcoming runoff election.
Recently elected and recently defeated Republicans from across the country descended on the bar and restaurant at Exit 38 of I-95 Wednesday as part of the Save America Tour to whip up votes for Georgia’s two Republican incumbents, U.S. Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue.

Despite a wet start, Cherokee County voters were lined up Monday morning for the beginning of early voting for the runoff election to fill two U.S. Senate seats that will determine which party controls the chamber next year.
The election pits Republican incumbent Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler against Democrats Jon Ossoff and the Rev. Raphael Warnock respectively. Also, for Public Service Commission, Republican incumbent Lauren âBubbaâ McDonald is facing Democrat Daniel Blackman.
Cherokee County voters have been a sought-after audience for the campaigns of Loeffler and Perdue. The two campaigned in Canton with Vice President Mike Pence last month. On Saturday, the conservative Club for Growth brought its Save America Tour to Canton in support of the two Republican incumbents. Singer Lee Greenwood performed at The Mill on Etowah and speakers included former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, among others. Loeffler is visiting Woodstock on Tuesday afternoon.
