Rape culture refers to society’s normalization of rape and other types of sexual assault. It isn’t limited to the obvious signs, such as sexism, dubbing violence sexually attractive, and objectifying women.
These everyday actions are only part of the problem.
Rape culture is so ingrained in our society that it seeps into every facet of our lives television shows mocking victims, movies making rape jokes, people throwing the word around when gaming, and especially victim blaming.
