Suspect In Custody After Shooting With Tulsa Police At Savanna Landing; Bystander Hit By Bullet

By: News On 6 Tulsa Police have confirmed that a suspect is in custody after an altercation with officers. According to police, 29-year-old Edward Madden approached a contractor at the Savanna Landing apartment complex on East 60th St. Police say Madden pointed a gun at the contractor who tried to run away and eventually found a police officer. More officers arrived and ordered Madden to put down his gun, but police say he refused. TPD says officers fired at Madden, hitting him in the hip. Police say Madden also fired in the exchange and a bystander was grazed by one of his bullets.

Davis Tower near 21st Street and Utica Avenue was evacuated before noon Tuesday, and the Tulsa Police bomb squad searched the building, including Inhofe’s offices, with sniffer dogs for about half an hour. No explosive devices were found. TPD, the U.S. Capitol Police and the FBI are determining who sent the emails.
