Extension will be done automatically and without need to visit its departments, says General Directorate of Passports

Saudi Arabia on Monday announced that the validity of residence permits for expatriates, who are stranded outside the country due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, would be extended free-of-cost.
The kingdom s General Directorate of Passports said that the decision involved an automatic extension without fees until June 2, 2021. It also applied to the visit visas, it added.

As the kingdom reopens, exempted individuals such as Saudi citizens, flight crews and diplomats will have to quarantine at home unless they are vaccinated, state news agency SPA said, citing an Interior Ministry official. Airlines are required to contract accommodation approved by the tourism ministry to house people in quarantine. The cost will be added to airfare. Fully vaccinated people do not need to quarantine if they present a vaccination certificate.

PIA issues new advisory for inbound travellers from KSA
Makes Covid tests mandatory; condition to come into effect from May 5
ISLAMABAD:
The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) issued on Sunday a fresh travel advisory for travelers from Saudi Arabia, making it mandatory for the passengers to undergo the Covid-19 test prior to their journey.
According to Express News, those traveling from the kingdom to Pakistan after May 5 will be required to get tested for Covid.
The communique added that children below the age of 12 years and travelers with disabilities will be exempted from the condition.
The PIA officials said that those who test positive for Covid will not be allowed to travel via the national flag carrier. They also said that the test results should not be more than 72-hours old.
