Rupee Reports Minor Losses Against Most Currencies Pakistani Rupee (PKR) has been volatile since the beginning of the current week. On Monday, PKR lost against several major currencies in the interbank market, posted blanket gains against all major currencies on Tuesday, and showed mixed results on Wednesday. Thursday turned out to be another good day for the Rupee, with improvement seen against all major currencies, but on Friday, once again, the results were mixed for PKR. Against the US Dollar, however, PKR seems to be holding on to its position. PKR gained 18 paisas against the US Dollar (USD) today, after posting a gain of 25 paisas yesterday, 10 paisas the day before, and 15 paisas on Tuesday, which came after a loss of 4 paisas on the opening day of the week.

PKR gained 10 paisas against the US Dollar (USD) today, after posting a gain of 15 paisas yesterday, which came after a loss of 4 paisas on the opening day of the week. PKR closed at Rs. 160.53 to the USD on Wednesday (27 January) compared to Rs. 160.63 on Tuesday, which was an improvement upon Rs. 160.79 on Monday.

Pakistani Rupee Continues to Lose Value Against Most Major Currencies The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) lost four paisas against the US Dollar (USD) in the interbank currency market on the opening day of this week after it had closed with a loss of 13 paisas on the final day of last week.  It had closed at Rs. 160.79 to the USD on Monday (25 January) as compared to Rs. 160.74 on Friday. ALSO READ The PKR showed a mixed bag of results against other major currencies with minimal gain against the Euro and a slight gain against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), that included but losses against the Great British Pound (GBP), the Australian Dollar (AUD), the UAE Dirham (AED), and the Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR).

Pakistani Rupee Ends the Week With Losses Against Major Currencies The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) lost 13 paisas against the US Dollar (USD) in the interbank currency market on the final day of the week. This adds to a loss of 11 paisas on Thursday that came after a gain of 10 paisas on Wednesday, eight paisas on Tuesday, and 19 paisas on Monday. ALSO READ The PKR closed at Rs. 160.74 to the USD on Friday (January 22) as compared to Rs. 160.61 on Thursday which was down from Rs. 160.50 to the USD on Wednesday after an improvement on Rs. 160.60 to the greenback on Tuesday that had reduced from Rs. 160.52 on Monday.
