i can t leave it to a friend or neighbour, it has to be to a care professional and, unfortunately, they are a very rare breed. good morning. it s a bit of a messy picture, the weather for saturday. we may well start off with some rain but that eases away to sunny spells and scattered showers. strengthening winds and rain, though, will arrive from the west a little later on this afternoon. i ll have all the details coming up shortly. good morning. it s saturday, the 14th of march. our top story this morning mass gatherings could be banned from as early as next week under new plans being drawn up by ministers. the move is designed to ease the burden on emergency services. it comes as the number of confirmed coronavirus deaths in the uk has risen to 11. our political correspondent, matt cole, joins us now from our london newsroom. matt, if you look at the papers this morning, many are saying the government has performed a u turn on the cancellation of mass gatherings.
