Big bass and blues continue to blitz along the North Shore, while further south in Buzzards Bay, the tautog bite continues to heat up with anglers easily limiting out with some larger fish in the mix.
Spanish mackerel and false albacore are in binging on bait, stripers and bluefish are making short work of peanut bunker, and double-digit cod are scoffing down clams and crushing jigs.
Fishing is good up and down the coast, with a variety of good options including South Coast fluke, stripers and slab scup all feeding, a good fluke bite in Vineyard Sound and Tautog crunching crabs on wrecks and ledge throughout the South Shore.
The offshore haddock action is good between southern Jeffrey’s Ledge and the northern section of Stellwagen, while closer to home, holdover harbor striper activity is increasing by the day and freshwater anglers are gearing up for salmon as the Quabbin opens for the season this Saturday.
